A pearl art kit — a printed board with an adhesive design and a supply of pearls, rhinestones and beads that you press into place one at a time. The finished piece has real relief to it: the beads stand proud of the board, so light catches the surface differently as you move past it, which is the thing a flat print cannot do.
Six designs, all on an autumn theme: pumpkins, leaves, flowers and woodland motifs. Two board sizes — 20 × 20 cm, which is a couple of evenings' work and finishes as a shelf piece, and 30 × 30 cm, which is a proper project and large enough to hang. It suits the kind of person who already has a craft drawer, and it is a reasonable thing to do with a table on a wet weekend.
Supplied without a frame; a standard square frame or a small easel finishes it. Work in good light and keep the loose beads in a tray, because they travel. Vandora likes objects with a bit of the maker still in them.
