Six small pumpkin place card holders, each with a slot cut into the top of the stalk to take a folded card. They are moulded PVC rather than cast metal, which is what keeps them light enough to sit on a card without tipping it and cheap enough to buy a set of six rather than agonise over two.
Three finishes: a gold that reads as old gilt rather than bright brass, a pumpkin orange, and a plain white. The gold is the one to choose if the rest of the table is already doing the colour; the white disappears into a linen cloth and lets the card do the work. They are the size of a large walnut, so they hold their place at each setting without crowding the glassware.
The cards are not included — plain white place cards from any stationer fit the slot, and handwriting them is most of the point. Wipe with a dry cloth and store them in the box between years. Vandora is honest about what a thing is.
