A woven plaid runner in tangerine red, with the check picked out in a deeper rust and an off-white grid line. It is properly woven rather than printed, so the pattern reads the same from both directions and the weave gives the cloth enough body to lie flat down the length of a table instead of rippling.
Two lengths: 140 cm for a four-seat table or a sideboard, 180 cm for six seats or a longer console. Both are 40 cm wide, which leaves room for plates either side on a standard table. The colour sits comfortably against bare wood and works from late September through to Christmas, so it earns more use per year than a strictly Halloween piece.
100% polyester, so it washes cool and comes out without pressing in most cases; a warm iron on the reverse will settle any fold lines from packing. Vandora looks for pieces that stay out for a season, not a weekend.
