Cast metal rays radiate from a central disc, each one faceted so the surface breaks light into different intensities across the face. The integrated LED sits behind the disc and pushes a halo onto the wall, which then bounces back through the gaps between the rays. At 16 cm square it is smaller than photographs suggest: a piece of wall sculpture that lights, rather than a lamp shaped like sculpture.
It suits a wall with nothing else on it. Above a console in an entry hall, centred over a low bookshelf, or on the blank return at the top of a stair, where the texture gives the eye somewhere to land.
