One shade sits inside the other: an outer of tinted glass in smoke grey or amber, an inner of clear. Light from the E27 lamp passes through both layers, so it is refracted twice before it reaches the room and arrives softened and faintly coloured, with the two curves visible as separate profiles from the side. The iron fittings are hand-finished and left in a plain dark tone that stays out of the way.

Hang it low over a bar counter or a kitchen bench, where the doubled glass reads clearly against the surface below. Above a dining table one shade at 18 cm across is modest, while a group of three has more effect than a single large pendant would. Beside a bed, dropped to headboard height, it gives warm light and takes nothing from the table. The tint does most of the work in a dark room.

The shade is 18 cm across and 25 cm deep, and the cord length adjusts, so the drop can be tuned to whatever it hangs over. It hardwires at AC 220-240V and takes an E27 bulb, not included; a clear filament LED shows the double-glass effect best. Vandora returns to mid-century shapes because they were drawn for rooms people actually sat in.

Frequently Asked Questions

What bulb should I use?

It takes an E27 bulb, not included. A clear filament LED shows the doubled-glass effect best, since the light passes through both the tinted outer shade and the clear inner one before it reaches the room.

How low should I hang it?

The cord length adjusts, so the drop can be tuned to whatever it hangs over. Low over a bar counter or kitchen bench is where the doubled glass reads most clearly against the surface below.

Which tint should I choose, smoke grey or amber?

Smoke grey has a cooler, moodier cast that suits darker rooms and metal fixtures, while amber leans warm and sits naturally with wood tones. Both use the same doubled-glass construction, so the difference is really about the tint itself.

Can I hang more than one together?

Yes, and a group of three has more effect over a table than a single large pendant would. At 18 cm across, each shade is modest enough that a cluster stays in scale with the surface below it.

Does it need special wiring?

It hardwires at AC 220-240V to the ceiling, with the fittings hand-finished in a plain dark tone that stays out of the way. No separate transformer is needed for normal use.
