A plain iron disc, 20 cm across, sitting a short distance off the wall on a semi flush mount. The LED faces backward from behind the disc, so what you see is not the source but the halo it throws onto the plaster: a soft ring of warm white that fades outward with no visible edge. The face itself stays dark, in black, white or grey, and the iron is powder finished so it holds its colour and takes a wipe without marking.
