Modern Nordic Wall Lamp

The Modern Nordic Wall Lamp curves off the wall in a single simple arc, cast in iron and finished plain enough to disappear into most colour schemes. The LED sits behind the curve, so the light itself stays hidden and only the glow it throws is visible, without a bright point anywhere along the fitting to catch the eye. The arc's shallow projection also means it sits close enough to the wall to clear a doorway without catching a sleeve or a shoulder in passing.

It is sized for the spots a bigger fixture would overwhelm — beside a bathroom mirror, along a hallway, flanking a kitchen window, stacked in pairs either side of a bed. Choose warm or cool white depending on what the rest of the room is doing, and lean toward pairs rather than a single fixture wherever symmetry matters, such as either side of a mirror or a headboard.

At 18 cm tall and 10 cm deep, it sits close to the wall and needs only basic assembly to mount. Vandora rates it for 3 to 5 square metres of coverage, enough for a landing or a narrow hallway without over-lighting the space, and the iron body takes the plain paint or wallpaper around it in stride.
