Smooth polycarbonate forms a wide domed cap, set on a short metal stem: 18 cm across, 22 cm tall. The cap diffuses the LED behind it completely, so light leaves the underside of the dome and lands in a circle on the surface below, with a softer spill running up the stem. The metal base is weighted, and the whole lamp has the low, planted look the mushroom shape implies.
It is a surface lamp before it is a reading lamp. On a console beside the door, on a bedside table, at one end of a long shelf, anywhere a room wants a low warm point rather than useful light.
